Frequently Asked Questions for moms attending Equipped
When is the best time for a mom to participate in Equipped?
The ideal time to participate in Equipped is right after you have your first baby, in the first 6 months of your baby’s life, if possible. However, anytime in your baby's first year of life is a great time to join!

To gain the most out of Equipped in the way it was created to be, we would advise against coming before your baby’s birth. .
Should I bring my baby with me?
Please do!
This ministry is built to be a happy place for both mother and baby. We try our best to have an environment that is baby friendly–whether that’s in-person or online! During the in-person meetings, volunteers will be available to assist you in whatever you might need (holding baby, diaper changes, bottle feedings, playing, etc.). We are here for you!
And the great thing about the online sessions is the ability to take care of all your baby’s needs without missing a beat. However, if it works out better for your baby to be with someone else during Equipped (or in childcare if you are taking off work to join us), that is great too! We would love to have you either way!
What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers the cost of the Equipped handbook (distributed or mailed out the first week of the session), speakers, program costs, and a few special surprises for all of you! However, please contact your chapter of Equipped if you are in need of financial assistance.
Who is registration open to?
Registration is open to any new mother with a child(ren) between the age of newborn to 12 months old. The earliest stages of motherhood can be the most isolating, as well as a demandingly intense time of personal growth. Equipped is designed to best serve the needs of a mother in this stage. Furthermore, as babies become older and increasingly mobile it can take away from the mother’s ability to be an active participant by fully taking in the message being conveyed and entering into meaningful discussion within their small group.
You do not need to be Catholic to participate in Equipped. With in-person and online sessions available, all are welcome!
What if I miss a week or have to return to work before the 7 week session ends?
We would ideally like for you to join us for all seven sessions, but if that is not possible we completely understand. Sickness, travel, work, and life happens! Just be sure to rejoin us as soon as you can. Consistency is important, as fellowship and community building are structural pillars of Equipped. Plus, we’ll all miss you!!
For those of you who may be returning to work before the end of Equipped, we have had women work out agreements with their employers to take off a little time to still attend the remaining Equipped sessions. We think you’ll be glad that you did!
When does the next Equipped session begin?
We have both in-person and virtual sessions that start all year long. Check out the upcoming sessions page to get all the details and find a session near you!
